Feature focus: Automatic Liability Determination

What Is Liability Determination?

Liability Determination feature is based on the OVS (Overeenkomst vereenvoudigde schadeafhandeling) framework, created and used by the Dutch Insurance Association, and it follows the European Accident Form (EAF) logic. It is integrated into Openclaims’ eFNOL and Claims Manager, enabling you to:

• Create Automatic Workflows: Initiate claims workflows or follow-up processes based on liability and recoverability of damage.
• Have a Structured Overview: Get a structured overview of what happened, including a preliminary determination of the liability.
• Empower your Employees: Our platform does not automatically confirm the liability to the counterparty or customer but instead allows your employee to verify the liability first.
• Ensure Compliance: Customers upload their signed-by-both-parties EAF to ensure every determination is checked by official documentation.
